A team of Crain’s Detroit Business editors has selected Tricia Ruby as a member of the magazine’s 2019 Notable Women in STEM group. Tricia was nominated and selected along with 38 other area women in STEM careers for her career accomplishments, track record of success in the field, contributions to her community and her mentorship of others.
Tricia’s nomination included information about her leadership transition with Ruby; the firm’s strategic planning process; Tricia’s focus on diversity; her enrichment of the firm’s corporate culture, and Ruby's increasing level of technical excellence.
Ruby Project Manager Allison Shenberger, PE contributed, “Each month at Ruby, [Tricia] stands in front of our company and gives an update. She shares everything from financial status to quarterly initiatives — making sure to give credit for wins and not gloss over topics where improvement is needed. Questions are encouraged, and they will be answered truthfully and honestly. This openness continues outside of the update meeting where Tricia’s door is always open.”
