Tricia Ruby, president/CEO of Ruby + Associates was honored by the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) at the group’s 2nd Annual Tough Enough to Be a Girl Scout Breakfast, held at the Detroit Athletic Club.  Tricia, three other women and one man were recognized as having shown throughout their career and service that they are “Tough Enough to be a Girl Scout.”  Tricia was selected because her values and ideals stand for the Girl Scouts mission to “build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.”

During the awards ceremony, Tricia’s story was featured in this short video.  Telva McGruder, Director of Workplace Engineering and Operations Solutions with General Motors and GSSEM Board of Directors Chair, presented Tricia and the other honorees with the awards, along with GSSEM CEO Denise Dalrymple.  Over 180 people attended the breakfast and the event raised almost $61,000 in funds necessary for programming that specifically benefit older girls in GSSEM.

Other honorees included Richard L. DeVore, Executive Vice President and Regional President, PNC Bank; Kimberly Gill, WDIV Local 4 Anchor; Denise Hartmann, Vice President, Business Management, Resins & Additives of BASF Corporation, and Suzanne Shank, Chairwoman, CEO and CO-Founder, Siebert Cisneros Shank & Co., LLC.
