Ruby+Associates Announces Three Promotions

Ruby+Associates, a structural engineering firm dedicated to serving the construction industry, announces three promotions within the firm’s engineering department.  

Thad Greiner, PE, SE and Todd Lackey have been promoted to the position of Senior Project Manager.  Michael Bucrek has been elevated to Engineer II level.

Thad Greiner, PE, SE has been promoted from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager.  Thad has been with Ruby since 2004, and his experience has ranged from managing large automotive and building design projects to leading the firm’s Building Design service sector and technical training program. He is also a member of Ruby’s 401(k) Committee and Quality Team. Outside the office, he is a member of the ASCE Construction Institute Committee for Temporary Structures. He graduated from Tri-State University with a Bachelor of Science degree with High Honors in Civil Engineering. Thad is a licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois and a Professional Engineer in Michigan and Ohio.  

Todd Lackey has been promoted from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager.  Todd began with Ruby in 2005 after spending over ten years in the steel fabrication business.  He leads Ruby’s Design/Detail service sector and recently managed several large automotive design-build projects for the firm.  Todd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Lawrence Technological University.

Michael Bucrek has been promoted from Engineer I to Engineer II.  Mike joined Ruby in 2017 after graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in December 2016.  Since then, a majority of Mike’s time has been spent working on connection design and shop drawing review for a series of large projects in Florida.
