Ruby+Associates, a structural engineering firm dedicated to serving the construction industry, announces the following in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:  

• Ruby’s staff is poised and ready to provide clients with the same level of quality service that they have come to expect from Ruby. 

• In response to Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order issued on March 23, 2020, Ruby, and many of the clients and Owners we support, are deemed as critical infrastructure workers. Therefore, we have taken the following measures:

o Ruby’s physical office currently remains open only to staff “who are necessary to conduct minimum basic operations,” or who “facilitate the ability of workers to work remotely.” 

o Ruby’s previously established disaster plan has enabled our staff to quickly adapt to remote work without interruption to projects. Our engineers and support staff remain committed and fully capable of collaborating with clients and project teams.

o We are appreciative of our clients’ understanding and cooperation related to restrictions on site visits and face-to-face meetings.  All client/project meetings are being held via GoToMeeting or Microsoft Teams, and local site visits are restricted until Governor Whitmer’s Order expires. Out-of-state site visits must be postponed until further notice.
