The Structural Engineers Association of Michigan (SEAMi) has selected Evan Fredline, PE, Engineer with Ruby+Associates, as the recipient of the 2021 Young Structural Engineer of the Year award.  The award was presented on August 19th during SEAMi’s Annual Conference at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing.  The award is presented each year to a structural engineer who has been practicing in the field for 12 years or less, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in engineering and contributions to improve the quality of life for people around them.

Evan is a Project Engineer with Ruby and he has worked in all of he firm’s service sectors. He has been with Ruby since 2017. Evan leads Ruby’s internal Article Discussion Group, and he is a member of Ruby’s Community Service and National Engineers Week Planning Committees. He serves as a peer mentor for Ruby’s newer hires. Evan has BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan.
