Ruby+Associates, a structural engineering firm dedicated to serving the construction industry, announces six new shareholders with the firm: Chad Fox, PE, SE, Jeff Gasparott, PE, Thad Greiner, PE, SE, Todd Lackey, Allison Shenberger, PE, and Drew Twarek, PE, SE. These six join existing shareholders Tricia Ruby, David Ruby, PE, SE, FASCE, Bruce Burt, PE, P.Eng., John Matuska, PE, DBIA, and Paolo DeGiuli.
President and CEO Tricia Ruby said, “I consider these new shareholders as the next generation of leaders within our firm. Chad, Jeff, Thad, Todd, Allison, and Drew have pushed the envelope for our clients and for our people too. Not only are they leading our most complex engineering projects, they also drive internal initiatives, serve industry groups outside Ruby, and mentor our engineers every day.”
In addition, the following employees have been promoted: Matthew Smith, PE, Hollie Wall, PE, and Ron Young, PE.
Matthew Smith, PE is promoted to Project Manager. Since joining Ruby in 2008, Matt has quickly become a leader with a particular expertise in large automotive projects. He also heads up Ruby’s LeanSteel™ service group. Matt is involved in the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Michigan industry group. He has BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University.
Hollie Wall, PE is promoted to Project Engineer II. After working for another area firm for two years, Hollie joined Ruby in 2016. Since then she has become an integral part of complex engineering project teams for automotive, nuclear, and manufacturing clients. Hollie leads Ruby’s busy community service group, and she was honored with the 2018 Structural Engineers Association of Michigan Young Engineer award. She has BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from Lawrence Technological University.
Ron Young, PE is also promoted to Project Engineer II. After his internship with Ruby in 2014, Ron completed his master’s degree from the University of Michigan and joined the firm full-time in 2015. He has worked primarily on automotive work and excels with truss analysis / design, and conveyor projects. Ron serves on the Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) golf committee and was recognized by ESD with its 2019 Distinguished Service Award. He is a member of the AGC Construction Leadership Council Executive Team.
