Ruby Hires New Director of Human Resources and Engineer II

Ruby+Associates, Inc. is proud to announce that Jennie Kenhard, SRHM-CP and Jeremiah Leyba, PE, have joined the firm. Jennie is the firm’s new Director of Human Resources and Jeremiah joins Ruby at the level of Engineer II.

Kenhard comes to Ruby with 14 years of experience in Human Resources. Originally from the United Kingdom, Jennie moved to the United States with her family in 2012. She worked in HR for a large national media company prior to joining Ruby. Jennie attended South Leicestershire College in the UK as well as Eastern Michigan University and Baker College Online. She is a Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and has a UK-based Certificate in Personnel Management. Ruby’s Human Resources Manager, Mary Beth DelVero, will continue working on special Human Resources-related projects with Ruby as needed.

Leyba joins the firm after several years of experience with Kiewit Engineering Group where he served as a Structural Design Engineer in its Construction Engineering Services group. Prior to that, Leyba earned his B.S. and M.S. in civil engineering with a structural and geotechnical emphasis from the University of New Mexico. During school, he served as a graduate research assistant with the Department of Civil Engineering, and worked with Los Alamos National Laboratory where he examined brittle material failure. Jeremiah is licensed as a professional engineer in Michigan.
