Four Engineers and Two Interns Join Ruby + Associates

Ruby+Associates, Inc. is proud to announce that Ebby Alhakam, Isaac Fong, Shelair Sinjari, and Annika Udrys have joined the firm as Engineer I level team members. Diego Cortes-Miramontes and Zachary Gacioch are Ruby’s summer 2023 engineering interns.

Ebby Alhakam joins Ruby as an Engineer and contract employee through Actalent, a recruiting agency. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University in May 2023. Prior to that, she served as a structural co-op with a Detroit-area A/E firm, and she was a research assistant in Detroit.

Isaac Fong comes to Ruby after graduating from Michigan Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Built Infrastructure Focus. Isaac served as an intern with Barton Malow Company in two locations - Southfield, Michigan and Casa Grande, Arizona - prior to graduating. 

Shelair Sinjari joins Team Ruby through Actalent as a contract employee following her recent graduation from University of Windsor with Bachelor and Master of Science degrees of Applied Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. During school, Shelair was a graduate/teaching and research assistant. 

Annika Udrys joins Ruby’s Grand Rapids office after graduating from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Math. She had internships with a Detroit-area construction company and an engineering firm in Portland, OR. 

Diego Cortes-Miramontes, an intern with Ruby, is a junior at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. He expects to graduate in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering. He has been on NCAT’s Chancellor’s List and Dean’s List.

Zachary Gagioch is also an intern with Ruby this summer. He is a student at Michigan State University where he is a Junior, expecting to graduate in May 2024. Zach was a Transportation Engineering Aide with a Detroit-area engineering consulting company last summer.
