Bruce Burt, PE, P.Eng.

Senior Principal

"I enjoy the daily challenges. As a Senior Principal, I’m involved in many projects at a time, and consulted on some of the most difficult issues. Our projects aren’t cookie-cutter; there always seems to be some new problem that needs to be solved. Or a client has an immediate need, and we have to swing into action. Technology is rapidly evolving, and it’s a challenge to keep up. For me, there aren’t too many dull moments at Ruby."

As our third employee, Bruce has seen and done just about everything in his 35+ years with Ruby. Bruce is involved in client and project development, project management and employee development. Engineers that have worked with him on projects will tell you he is quick with a red pen, and a smile. He also manages some of our largest projects.

Bruce is a shareholder and member of Ruby's Management Team. He is the American Institute of Steel Construction CASE Coalition Chair-Elect, and the CASE Contracts Committee Chair. He's a member of the Lawrence Technological University Civil Architectural Advisory Board. Bruce holds a BS in Civil Engineering, Construction emphasis, from the University of Michigan. He is licensed in twenty-four states, the District of Columbia, and three Canadian Provinces.
