Ruby is currently seeking talented Engineers with a passion for structures, construction and learning.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting Project Engineers in conducting structural analysis and design;
- Playing an important role on the structural design team, helping to solve our client's construction challenges through engineering analysis and application of Ruby Constructability philosophy;
- Maintaining client contact, making site visits;
- General exposure to new concepts in constructability
Requirements include:
- Minimum of a BS degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent);
- At least one year of relevant professional experience (or a Masters degree);
- Passing grade on FE exam;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Tekla, RISA, RAM, Revit, Excel, MathCAD, SAP2000 is a plus;
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

BIM / Revit Technician

We are currently seeking a creative BIM/Revit Technician with a passion for structures, construction and learning.
Responsibilities include:
- Create 3D models in Revit to support design development and construction documents for a variety of projects.
- Leverage knowledge of typical building structure and construction to develop high quality building models and construction documents.
- Collaborate with engineers on innovative approaches to model and animate steel construction.
- Manage construction documents from initial creation through construction administration.
- Maintain efficient and well-organized BIM/CAD project folders.
- Actively engage in resolving BIM/CAD planning and coordination issues to meet schedule and budget goals.
- Meet with project teammates daily to share updates on project status.
- Provide technical support for Revit and AutoCAD.
- Develop and implement Revit standards.
- Assist staff with technical issues related to design technologies.
- Develop ways to improve modeling efficiency.
- Mentor staff on best practices.
- Identify, comprehend, and follow the BIM/CAD standards applicable to assigned projects when drafting and modeling.
- Frequently review project modeling and drafting work to ensure accuracy and correct technique.
- Assist in updating Degenkolb BIM/CAD User Guidelines.
- Participate in the Degenkolb Technical Conference.
Requirements include:
- 3+ years of Autodesk Revit 2022-2026 and related BIM software experience in a structures department.
- In depth working knowledge of the Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks software environments (latest releases).
- 4+ years of AutoCAD experience working with structural engineering or architectural firms. Construction experience a plus.
- Ability to maximize modeling productivity and efficiencies.
- Ability to meet challenging project schedule deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with staff and clients in different geographic locations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Associate’s degree or Revit Structure Certified Professional, preferred.
